JR Nance, Jr - BIO
Born in Lumberton, North Carolina he was raised in Cumberland County. After attending Wake Forest University and Wake Forest Law School he returned to Fayetteville where he joined his father’s firm and practiced with his father until his father’s death in 1985.
Has been elected President of the Cumberland County Bar Association and also the 12th Judicial District Bar Association
Has served on the Board of Trustees and the Executive Boards for Meredith College
He served as President of the Fayetteville Little Theater board and on the Board of the Fayetteville Family Life Ministries.
Active in his church he has served as a Deacon and Moderator for the Board of Deacons at Snyder Memorial Baptist Church where he has taught Sunday School for more than 35 years. He has also written and taught several bible studies at Snyder Memorial.
He has also served on several committees of the North Carolina State Baptist Convention.
Has engaged in the general practice of law handling both civil and criminal law, but has devoted his efforts strictly to the practice of civil litigation for the past 25 years.
He has served on the Committee for the Rules of Civil Procedure for the NC Bar Association.
